“MSC BOSPHORUS” is the 2nd vessel for CSL to install our ZEPT’s EGCS with Hybrid model. With the teamwork and careful guidance of the ZEPT’s technology team, the entire sea trial & commissioning operation of EGCS has been successfully completed within one day. All the technical data and conclusion meet the design requirements and have been well received and recognized by the RINA Class surveyor and the shipowner’s representative.

It is quite simply the fastest method to repair a pipe under pressure. The VPG Rapid Response Clamp was engineered to contain leakage from damaged pipework under pressure faster, with less potential for harm to the operator than all competitive systems on the market. Developed originally for use in combat vessels, the Pipe Repair Technology is now available in three variants, from 6.6 Bar to 40 bar.
The VPG Rapid Response Clamp offers reduction in potential environmental damages and reduction of pipe repair cost.
We insist every vessel to have a set of clamps to be used for rapid pipe repair.
A major design advantage is that each clamp covers a wide diameter range. Only 8 different sizes are required to span the standard range 38mm to 930mm. Clamps to suit larger diameters are available on request.

Bridge was lifted by the barge, as you may see in the photo below.
By unballasting the barge, bridge was lifted in the necessary height in order to be unlocked from each position and, afterwards, it was transported to Salamis Shipyard.
Previously, the bridge was dismantled at site and then transported in pieces.

On Monday, 12th November 2018, and after a thorough inspection by the classification society, which led to a few changes regarding the reinforcement of the bridge as well as replacing the deck, the bridge returned to each position in order to serve the residents of Isthmia.
The paint protection guaranty provided is 10 years!

]]>USCG Ballast Water Management (BWM) program update
USCG published a Policy Letter (CG-OES Policy Letter No. 13-01, Revision 1) and an associated Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB 13-15) that provide revised guidance to vessel owners and operators seeking to extend compliance dates for implementing approved ballast water management methods.
The original compliance date of a vessel is determined by the following table, which reflects the implementation schedule as listed in 33 CFR Part 151.1512(b) (Subpart C) or 151.2035(b) (Subpart D).
All new vessels (constructed on or after 1 December 2013) must use an approved ballast water management method on delivery. Existing vessel’s ballast water capacity and is set as the first scheduled drydocking after 1 January 2016 or 1 January 2014.
MSIB 13-15 clarifies the term ‘first scheduled drydocking’ for the purposes of compliance with the BWM implementation schedule. In all cases, a vessel’s first scheduled drydocking date is the date the vessel enters a drydock.
If that happens sometime during 2015 and the vessel goes not leave drydock until after 1 January 2016, this drydocking is not considered the first scheduled after 1 January 2016 for purposes of compliance.

PMS S.A. is proud to announce a strategic cooperation with Sunbo Industries Co. Ltd. Korea, that are specialized in manufacturing and installations of units for sewage treatments, purifiers, M/E L.O., cooling, supply units for main engine F.O., generator engines F.O., boilers F.O., F.W., central F.W., FGSS, PWTS and Ballast Water management systems.
Due to this cooperation, PMS now is the exclusive representative in Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria of BlueZone, which is a Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) that uses OZONE micro bubbles. By that, all harmful aquatic organisms and pathogens in ballast water are disinfected.
The OZONE micro bubbles reduce the power consumption substantially. This method is unique and has been patented.
Configuration of BlueZone BWMS
The system is very simple to be installed in any space on board the vessel. You only have to guide to ozone droplets by a small 1½ inch pipe. The only modification is to insert on the main ballast line the micro bubble mechanism and the injector nozzle.

All the (four) equipments are compact with a height of 2.2m max, having as a result the installation to be done anywhere either in the accommodation or in a container or on a weather deck. Installation can be achieved max in a week at sea or at port.

The hull cleaning machine comprises of 3 units of brushes that retract fully from the hull with a clearance to prevent damage on the paint work coating while removing unwanted fouling efficiently.
